currently playing: meeting cybil by akira yamaoka
Hello again guys! Whats up? One day I will add a comment box or something so you can actually respond.
Very sorry for taking literally five hundred years to update this website again.
I have been super mega busy with school, and before that work -- and since I don't bring my computer to school anymore (very very sad about that actually) I'ts easy for life to get in the way.
I have actually been wanting to update but the sheer amount of things I've wanted to bring up have made that task seem super overwhelming.
BUT since there is literally no pressure, I feel like I can just prioritize all the things I currently want to talk about and kind of skim over or skip the rest.
One of the biggest events of the year for me has been
watching S1 and 2 of Twin Peaks and the movie, Fire Walk With Me.
I am not gonna get super into it because I feel like everyone and their mother has a better, more thought out way of talking about that show than I could have, but my general opinion is that it was at its best when it focused on the murder of Laura and explored her character -- sadly everything else often fell super flat due to how hit or miss the acting is and was honestly just kind off frustrating sit through.
Sorry I'm not as Lynchian as you guys I guess.
Fire Walk With Me though -- never in my life have I watched a movie so soaked in despair.
Absolutely dreadful, and so so good. The first movie I have ever seen that actually utilizes liminal spaces, and it does so in a terrifying way. I thought you knew it was me all along. One of the strongest movies have ever seen, but I don't think I'm going to be ready to rewatch it anytime soon.
Another movie I watched that I won't be rewatching very soon is Giant,
not because I didn't like it, because I did -- but mostly because it's so so long, I'm hoping to find it on DVD though so I can put it on to watch with my mom on a lazy day.
As for video games, I never bought Delta. I feel kind of bad about it but since they didn't redo any of the animations I think it looks a little silly, coupled with the fact that I'm not really in love with the new designs
-- it was a no for me.
But I'm SO happy to see so many new people interested in Metal Gear though!
And I hope that it leads to new remakes of other games, particularly of the pre-PlayStation ones.
They are so important to the general plot and especially to Solid Snake's arc.
Need to see Frankie in hd…
So, instead of buying Delta, I bought the Silent Hill 2 Remake. And -- WOW. Holy fucking shit.
I have stayed away from the Silent Hill franchise for a long long time
because it's just so popular, and I'm not gonna lie, everyone seems kind of elitist about it.
But now I'm sucked in too. The story of 2 was very much down my alley,
I'm a big BIG fan of the subconscious and the taboo, the conjured and the desired.
I don't know if any other game in the series is like this, but I hope so.
So to really get into the franchise, I have been playing the first one from 1999, and I really like it too -- though it seems like it's going in a more traditional narrative direction. But don't get me wrong though,
I would pick Harrys pixel-y ass over James ANY DAY.
It's very good for me because it's older, which means, not as scary for me as the remake was. I'm very much a RUN instead of FIGHT kind of guy, so horror games can get kind of hard for me.
I'm going to play the original Silent Hill 2 also -- AND Born From A Wish, which I have HEARD is about Maria. I'm very excited for that because Maria was one of my favorite aspects of the game for me.
So look forward to that gamers!
Also, as for now, I'm 20 years old. Yippie, I guess.
I don't really feel any different but I guess it's hard to feel something like that in the moment, maybe in a couple years I can look back and notice a big change or something. I don't know.
Thank you for 13 followers btw, I promise I will catch up on what you guys have been up to as well.
See Ya!

I feel like I should bring this up, but ive never been very good at coming across empathetic through text, so i'm doing it here for the hardcore readers.
I want to make something clear -- I still really like hayden and her music, and I do believe that she has changed.
But racism is still, past or present, so so destructive. Even though I am white and not the target I still feel very bad and ashamed for having really fallen into celebrity worship of a person that have caused damage like that in the past.
i'm very sorry to everyone that got affected back then and to all the black and/or mexican fans that felt betrayed and silenced by others coming to her defence instead of listening to your struggles.
